Who We Are


Dr. Lynn has worked in a variety of mixed animal practices across Alberta. Besides working on our companion animals, she has a passion for sheep and flock management. Dr. Lynn spends her time between working on the family farm, being available for appointments here at Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic, as well as traveling all over the world for ovine embryo transfers!

Equine Veterinarian

Dr Rosa graduated from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She practiced large animal medicine in New York at the Cornell Ambulatory Clinic, and then in New Zealand as an equine veterinarian in the Massey University Equine Clinic (an equine referral hospital). She has also worked as an FEI veterinarian at equine endurance events. Her interests include equine medicine and lameness, with a particular interest in equine hoof health.

Since relocating to Alberta in 2012, Dr. Rosa has worked as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary. In addition to her veterinary training she also completed her PhD studies on the developmental origins of health and disease in 2014, and enjoys keeping abreast of new scientific developments in health and veterinary medicine and teaching students.

When she is not working, Dr. Rosa enjoys horseback riding, hiking, biking, skiing, and having fun with her family.




Irene Phillips graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Biology in 1983 and then from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She owned and operated her own small animal and caged pet clinic for 19 years and has now brought her expertise to Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic. Dr Phillips has a special interest in all types of exotic pets and is happy to see almost anything that can be kept in a cage. She also has a strong interest in animal behaviour and training. Dr. Phillips has trained dogs in obedience, tracking, scent detection and agility. Both of the dogs she currently owns have their Canine Good Neighbour title from the Canadian Kennel Club. Dr. Phillips also trains horses and competes in show jumping and cowboy challenge races. Come see her at Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic on Wednesday.

Kataryna has always had a passion for working with animals. She obtained her Equine Production & Breeding Management Diploma at Olds College in 2010, and then she became a Registered Veterinary Technician after completing her schooling at Seneca College in Ontario in 2013. She relocated Cochrane and worked in Calgary for 3 years and now lives on a farm in Olds, AB. She started at Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic in May of 2017 as a full time Registered Veterinary Technician.
Kataryna owns a loveable German Shepherd Mix named Aslan, a spunky Torbie named Hailey, and three horses named Frodo, Lily, and Prancy. In her free time, she likes to Garden, ride her horses, paint Ukrainian Easter eggs, has a passion in photographing landscapes & wildlife. You can always find her with a smile on her face at our clinic!

Grew up on a mixed animal farm in Baytree Alberta always having pets and livestock to attend. The horse addiction started with a small welsh pony when I was little. Attended and graduated the AHT program at the Fairview GPRC college in 2019. After graduating moved down to Olds AB with my man to join the ccvc team. Currently is the owner to a sassy dilute torti name Rasberry who runs the house, a needy tabby kitten addressed as Arya and with her QH gelding 'Red' who loves going out for simple pleasure rides. On days off i enjoy reading, riding, cleaning, baking, and snowboarding in the winter.

Shae graduated from the Olds college Vet Tech Assistant program in 2014 and in addition has her certificate in Equine Sciences Breeding & Production. She has been with the clinic since fall of 2017 and in her off time enjoys barrel racing on her horse Chevy. Shae now lives near Truchu on an acreage with her boyfriend Carter, big lovable dog Tex, Mika the cat and their 3 horses.




Angie graduated from Olds College in April 2018 and has been working full time at Chinook Country Vet Clinic ever since. She has provided a foster home for many cats and dogs. She is a strong team leader and you can always find her with a smile on her face. Angie owns 2 Canadian Warmbloods, Lannie and Keisha, and enjoys competing with them in show jumping.

Dr. Donszelmann graduated in 1992 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
She practiced in a variety of mixed animal practices in Alberta and British Columbia before purchasing Chinook Country Vet Clinic in 2001. Her practice focus has changed from mixed animal to companion animal and equine medicine as her practice continues to serve the community.
Dr. Donszelmann also has a passion for teaching and has taught for the Animal Health Technology program at Olds College. In 2008 she accepted a position as a Clinic Skills Instructor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. She has also completed a Management Certificate from the University of Calgary and a Veterinary Hospital Practice Managers Certificate from St. Lawrence College.
She currently splits her time between her position as Clinic Skills Instructor at the University of Calgary Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Chinook Country Veterinary Clinic. When she is not at either of those places she spends her time at home raising and training horses.
